Chandler on the south side clocked up nearly 100 enquiries per listing on realestate.com.au, and its north side semi-rural counterparts also made the grade.
Samford Valley and Bunya attracted more than 50 enquiries per listing, reflecting the continued desire for a tree-change lifestyle still within a stone’s throw of urban convenience.
While some regional areas may have seen a post pandemic drop off, PropTrack senior economist Paul Ryan says buyers are still drawn to “lifestyle regions” in the outer suburbs.
“What we’re seeing is the pandemic trend towards larger homes and larger acreages persisting, which is continuing to affect the market,” he said.

But the acreage lifestyle comes with an acreage size mortgage. If that blows your budget, leafy middle ring suburbs, including here on the northside, can offer a taste of the tree change lifestyle without the price tag.
Suburbs like Eatons Hill, and pockets of Chermside West and McDowall can give you forest vistas and bushwalk proximity with suburban convenience.
