The Logan suburb topped a list of 10 localities where vendors were accepting substantially less than the advertised price.
With the exception of Milton (9.8 per cent) the discounted suburbs were all to be found south of the Brisbane River and as far away as Ipswich.
For those seeking a bargain closer to town Highgate Hill vendors shaved 9.5 per cent off the asking price, but you’ll still need a median $1.185 million to get into this inner city suburb.
North of the river our vendors are achieving sales results much closer to their asking prices.
Kalinga, which only became a suburb in its own right in 2015, recorded zero instances of vendor discounting over the same period.
Nudgee, Keperra, Fitzgibbon and Lawnton recorded vendor discounting of 2 per cent or less.
