Proximity to lifestyle areas such as canal frontage estates have also grown in popularity, up 14 per cent year-on-year across areas like the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
In-home lifestyle features that frequently appear in searches include swimming pools and air conditioning, whereas southern state property seekers tend to be more interested in features like garages.
Unit hunters want convenience and storage space, with built-in robes, ensuites and dishwashers frequently appearing in searches.
