These “underdog” suburbs aren’t known for their prestige, but they can offer buyers diverse property options with bargain price tags.
Here on the north side, Taigum saw prices boom 22.2% last year, reports Nine News.
It offers a mix of houses and units, including new build properties and low maintenance brick properties on smaller lots, which are appealing to first time buyers and busy families seeking convenience.
Proximity to the bay side suburbs of Sandgate and Shorncliffe add to the lifestyle appeal, while neighbouring suburbs, including Aspley, offer proximity to a range of schools and shopping precincts.
Across Brisbane and Ipswich, “underdog” suburbs including Eastern Heights (22%), Browns Plains (17.1%) and Regency Downs (27.7%) also saw whopping price growth last year.
Brisbane is tipped for another year of price growth with affordable properties, including units, expected to attract continued buyer interest.
