We’ve long known that Chermside offers great value buying for those seeking the buzz of a CBD lifestyle with the breathing space of the burbs.

Now the data is showing just how popular Chermside has become.

The vibrant suburb recorded the seventh highest number of unit sales in Queensland in the last quarter of 2024, according to InfoTrack data.

Also on the northside, Hamilton units also cracked the top 10 for the first time, taking sixth place.

“Buyers are circling these suburbs because they offer an appealing mix of lifestyle and transport options being both close to the city and close to thriving suburban hubs that offer excellent shopping, dining and recreation,” InfoTrack’s head of property Lee Bailie told Smart Property Investment.

Across Queensland it was the Gold Coast suburbs of South Port and Labrador that took out the top two spots on the list.

Inner city Brisbane burbs also featured prominently, notably the Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley hub.
