Houses in four popular northside suburbs are renting for under $600 per week, according to new PropTrack data reported in The Courier-Mail.
This includes houses in Chermside which are renting for $550 per week. That’s good value for the location, given proximity to the mini CBD that has grown around our mega Westfield.
These four northside inner ring suburbs were amongst the top 10 cheapest in Brisbane.
- Chermside houses $550 per week
- Keperra houses $550 per week
- Mitchelton houses $550 per week
- Stafford houses, $595 per week
Stafford also offers great value given its proximity to transport links, a range of schools and continually gentrifying café and retail precincts.
Keperra is a renowned cheapie with the benefit of a train station. Further in along the railway line, you’ll find Mitchelton, which is kind of like the northside’s answer to New Farm with its Blackwood Street café precinct and Jan Powers Farmers Market.
For unit renters, your best value northside burbs close to the CBD include suburbs like Clayfield and Wilston where rents are $450 per week. Solid, older style unit blocks can place you in the thriving hubs of these suburbs with spending money left to enjoy the inner suburb lifestyle.
