Houzz has served up a visual smorgasbord of residential designs showcasing the latest in palettes, textures, layouts and furnishings guaranteed to excite your inner Shayna Blaze.
The award winners will be announced at a gala presentation in Melbourne (of course darling) on June 9.
If this shortlisted sample is anything to go by, here are some of the design features we can expect to see trending soon.
- Love timber? Why restrict it to the floors. Got nuts with timber panelled walls and ceilings. It worked for Leeton Pointon Architecture + Interiors Twig House project and Austin Maynard Architects Dorman House project. But you really see the tree look taken to the next level with Adam Kane Architects Hardwood House project.
- Love marshmallows? Don’t just eat them, live amongst them. Adopt a soft pink and white colour scheme for your next kitchen reno. Board Grove Architects have spun this very sweet look for their Footscray Apartment project.
- Have a colour phobia? Be the lead character in your own black and white movie. Terminate tints and create interest with bold grayscale patterns, textures and statement features. So very film noir and so very successful for Studio Tate’s The Melburnian project.
