Brisbane has been tipped to lead the nation for capital growth over the coming years, and economists are suggesting we may see between 10-15 percent growth by the end of 2021!

Although we’re always weary of claims of extreme rise or decline, Brisbane has a strong record of stability and steady growth.

While houses have averaged approximately 25 per cent growth over the last 5 years (or 5% per annum), Property Update have identified two entry level suburbs (both on the Northside) that continually outperform the Brisbane averages.

Chermside West

Chermside West is around 12km’s from the Brisbane CBD and has seen a high level of gentrification over the past 5 years.

Along with two Hospitals which are a huge source of employment it also falls within the popular Craigslea State School catchment.

The other major draw card for Chermside West is it’s proximity to the neighbouring suburb of Chermside.

Being next door to Chermside offers all the benefits of its’ development to a mini city hub, plus the Westfield upgrades without having the busyness and apartments on your door step.

The stats also show a great story here with growth sitting at 36 per cent over the last 5 years, which is well above the Brisbane average.

Keperra

Keperra is a short 10km’s from the CBD and also sports a train station! Research shows suburbs with easy access to rail transport are hot property and have seen close to double the growth of other suburbs over the last 10 years in Brisbane.

While Brisbane has averaged around 25% growth in the last 5 years, Keperra has hit almost 30% in the same time.

Other Entry level suburbs to keep an eye on are;

  • Stafford Heights
  • Mitchelton
  • Everton Park

On another note, Melbourne real estate has been allowed to resume private inspections from Monday 28th September, yay! We’re super happy to see buyers and sellers able to restart their property plans, in a safe manner, of course. The new allowances include fifteen minute private property and display home inspections with one agent and one prospective purchaser or tenant, along with their household or intimate partner.
