Brisbane’s #10 cheapest suburbs

As Brissie’s median house price flirts with the million-dollar-mark it might be hard to believe that a quarter of our dwellings are priced at less than half that.

Data from CoreLogic and Canstar has found the lower quartile of sale prices in Brisbane is $470,000, reports The Property Tribune.

And many suburbs are still sitting well below that.

In fact our cheapest of the cheapies has a median price of $335,000. This includes the suburbs of Bundamba and Woodbridge. Goodna and East Ipswich houses will set you back closer to $350,000.

But you don’t need to move to Ipswich if you’re looking for a bargain basement price.

Clayfield units offer proximity to the city and prestige neighbours without the blue chip price tag. Just $400,000 will get you a Clayfield classic.

Northwards, look to Redcliffe for some good value with units still sitting well below the half-a-million-mark.
