Brisbane north is amongst several in-demand areas to see the asking prices for units rise above 2 per cent year on year, reports Domain.
On average, Brisbane’s asking rents for houses increased by 1.3 per cent over the 12 months to the September quarter.
Units saw the same growth of 1.3 per cent, shrugging off years of oversupply.
Brisbane north saw the asking rents for units grow by 2.1 per cent, and by 1.2 per cent for houses.
Domain research analyst Eliza Owen said rents were now trending up and vacancy rates down.
“The picture for south-east Queensland in terms of rental returns is pretty good, it’s also one of the most affordable rental markets for houses,” she said.
