We’re now seeing a focus moving in towards the CBD in contrast to a trend which saw affordability hunters push their searches to the outer burbs.
Brisbane’s Inner-North region is amongst the top #10 most in-demand areas based on views per listings of residential properties from January to August this year, reports Domain.
The findings come from its Spring Property Report and reflect a shift in buyer dynamics.
“The buyer pool has changed and we’ve got a rising interest from investors, they tend to go to high rise living and that draws them into the CBD – but also buyers really want greater connectivity and urban living, which also leads them to the city,” says Domain chief of research and economics Dr Nicola Powell.
Brisbane’s inner northern suburbs are popular spots. They offer the charm of Queenslander homes as well as new builds, while offering green spaces and leafy suburban outlooks, with proximity to the city centre and transit corridors.
For those looking for a little more space for their dollar, the middle ring offers much the same charm and northside convenience, but with a better value price tag.
Suburbs like Chermside West, Stafford and surrounds continue to gentrify, offering the vibrancy of urban living, but typically offering more breathing space in your budget and backyard.
