Brisbane is the third most searched for city for buyers, behind the Gold Coast and Melbourne, according to PropTrack’s Overseas Search Report for October writes The Property Tribune.
The report says buyers from New Zealand and China were most interested in Australia.
But it’s not just overseas buyers that are eyeing off Brisbane.
Queensland, including Brisbane, has long been a popular destination for Aussies looking to move interstate, particularly moving north from colder more expensive southern states. Why?
“One major factor is the city’s strong economy, which has attracted many people to the area for work and business opportunities,” reports Property Update.
Brisbane is home to a number of major industries, including finance, healthcare, and education, and it has a diverse and growing economy.
Underpinned by continued overseas and interstate migration, metropolitan Brisbane requires approximately 23,000 additional dwellings each year to accommodate its growth.
