This is reflected in new data published on realestate.com.au which shows average days on market in some Brisbane suburbs – including here on the north side – still kicking at a solid pace.
Gaythorne houses are selling at an average 33 days on market, while Chermside West homes are being snapped up in 38 days.
For units, Bardon buyers are wrapping up deals after 27 days on market and Fairfield is the second fastest suburb at 33 days.
Real Estate Institute of Queensland chief executive Antonia Mercorella said the data showed a broad range of buyers still active in the market, particularly in Brisbane’s “sought-after, well-liked and trendy neighbourhoods”.
“These same buyers also clearly know what they want, with days on market generally averaging out to about a month,” Ms Mercorella said.
“That’s remarkable considering the current environment property is trading in due to COVID-19.”
