- The fire pit. This one doesn’t require much DIY at all! Just jump online or head to Hammerbarn (… we mean Bunnings of course) to snag one. The DIY enthusiast can add some pizazz to this project by creating a flat, paved seating area in your garden perfect to crowd around on a cold winter night.
- The vege patch. Weed out that overgrown summer weed pit, grab some sugar cane mulch and start planning winter greens, root veges and pumpkin vines to get your home grown vege soup started now.
- Prune, trim, edge, mow and mulch. Survey the overgrown mess that is your summer garden, take a deep breath, grab a garden tool of your choice, and get pruning. Taming your garden now will give you months ahead of clean, cropped, manageable hedges, lawns and edges during the slower growth autumn and winter seasons.
