A cool $1500 could buy you a piece of Eminen’s childhood history. The rapper (aka Slim Shady aka Marshall Mathers) has sold off bricks and timber from his condemned Detroit home.

That’s certainly a better return than if he offloaded the materials to the local recycled timber yard.

While his website sold off the bricks for $350, die-hard fans snapped them up quicker than you can say Slim Shady. They are now reselling on ebay for up to $1500.

Sound a little pricey? Well you get a t-shirt with that too.

The rapper’s former home was torn down in 2013, reports Realestate.com.au, due to health and safety issues.

Fans will recognise the humble house from the cover of The Marshall Mathers LP album, and Eminem’s website features an entire photo gallery of the home taken before its demolition. A warning to viewers – it’s not pretty. The ‘condemned’ sign is there for good reason.

On a lighter note, a Michigan news website reports a portion of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Marshall Mathers Foundation, which supports organisations working with at-risk youth in Michigan and throughout the U.S.
