What our clicks say we really want in a home

by Kate Watt, Marketing Manager 19 July 2018

Pool? Click.
Granny flat? Click.
Pet friendly? Click.

These are amongst the popular search parameters property hunters are using when seeking out their dream home, according to realestate.com.au.

So what do our clicks reveal about our inner most desires?

Not surprisingly Queenslanders love their pools! We’re also a practical bunch, searching out properties that are part of the NRAS rental affordability scheme.

But not too practical. Views and waterfront locations are also highly appealing. After all, what’s life without whimsy?

The search terms also reveal who we live with. Many property seekers want to put a roof over the head of their four-legged friends.

A high number of searches for granny flats – while these days not the sole domain of granny – suggest that we’re living with more than just the immediate family unit.
